12.05.2016
Taking into account the global trend of soybean popularity increase, as well as estimating the prospects of the Far Eastern region of Russia in its cultivation, the issue about developing crushing enterprises becomes relevant.

By the end of this year, Amur oil extraction plant for advanced soybean processing is planned to be put into operation in the Amur region, in the territory of priority development (TOP) "Belogorsk", in close proximity to the raw materials source. The projected capacity of the plant is 240 KMT per year. The plant will be open in 2016. The first stage of the project provides for soybean crushing capacity at 165 KMT per year.

A steady trend of soybean acreage increase has been observed in Russia for over ten years - from 718 Th ha in season 2005/06 to 2102.1 Th ha in season 2015/16. Accordingly, its production increased from 686 KMT to 2844.9 KMT. In the new 2016/17 season soybean is planned to be seeded at 2.3 Ml ha, and production is expected to reach about 3.0 MMT with average yields at 1.3 MT/ha.
